This is a LabVIEW simulation that you can download and run on your Windows computer. Below is a screen shot of the simulation demonstrating Snell's Law. If you decide to download and install the simulation program you will be able to run this simulation on your computer and change the settings shown below.

The arrows move real time as you alter the parameters of the screen. To alter the angle of incidence you must click on the tail end of the blue vector with your mouse and move it up or down. Observe the reflected and transmitted ray lines as you do so.

Change the index of refraction on either of the two sides and observe how it affects the (red) transmitted ray.

CHALLENGE: Figure out for what values of N1 and N2 will cause a critical angle to appear.
