This is a free simulation that you can download and run on your Windows computer.  It is a great lesson for some one studying electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.

What is especially unique about this simulation is that I have created a phasor diagram showing the angles and magnitudes of the voltage and currents in the circuit. This makes it easier to see what is going on in your mind's eye.

Below is a screen shot from this software.  It shows an AC (alternating current) circuit simulation.  jXs is the reactance in the line

It allows you to adjust the voltage, load resistance, capacitance, and inductance. As you adjust the characteristics of the load, you will see how it affects the phase angle of the current
